Terms of service

Priceproof is an informational product that compares community-verified alcohol-related prices. It is not a retailer and does not sell alcohol. V1 does not include a venue-owner portal, public partner API, monetization, or multi-language UI. See the project README for the V1 scope.

You must be of legal drinking age in your location to use this service. The age gate is shown to every visitor and your confirmation is recorded. We do not store your date of birth.

When you upload a receipt, the file is stored in a private bucket and the extracted price claim is held for human review. You confirm that you have the right to share the receipt and that the information is accurate to the best of your knowledge. Reviewers may approve, request changes, or reject your claim. Approved prices are public and may remain visible after account deletion in anonymized form.

Reviewer and owner accounts must have two-factor authentication enabled. We may revoke reviewer/owner privileges for policy violations, abuse, or prolonged inactivity.

• Submitting receipts that are not yours or that you do not have the right to share.
• Submitting false or misleading price information.
• Attempting to bypass rate limits, CSRF protections, or access controls.
• Scraping the public site at a rate that degrades service for others.
• Using the service to facilitate alcohol sales, deliveries, or venue partnerships — none of which are in V1 scope.

Prices shown are community-contributed and may be outdated or inaccurate. Verify before acting. The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind.

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be noted on the privacy page.
